Message from the president of the  National Organising Committee  

Dear colleagues,

In the name of the National Organising Committee I have the pleasure to invite you to the Annual Conference of Romanian Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, organised in Brasov, 07 - 09 October 2004, in the ARO PALACE complex.

Continuing the tradition of the scientific events crowning the activity of the Romanian school of Allergology and Clinical Immunology and of the joining specialists, the main topic of the Conference this year is: „Atopic diseases – modern approaches”.

As in the past, our efforts are directed toward organising a complex scientific gathering, structured on major matters of interest in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, completed with a continuous medical education training program, addressed especially to the new generations of specialists.

Being sure of a fruitful participation, assured not only by our gathered efforts but mostly by the presence of special guests, desired and admired into any prestigious international scientific manifestation, we wish you : welcome and good-luck at the SRAIC Annual Conference 2004.

Welcome to Brasov,

In the name of the Local Organising Committee I have the great pleasure to invite you in „The city from the  de la poalele Tâmpei” at a prestigious scientific meeting  gathering together well known personalities from the country and beyond in the field of Allergy and  Clinical Immunology.

Together with the National Organising Committee we wish to offer to all the participants a high quality scientific program harmoniously combining lectures, oral and poster presentations  and continuous medical education training sessions dedicated to a  generous and modern topic.

The varied social program, into a city traditional and modern in the same time, will hopefully happily complete the annual reunion of allergists in Brasov.

Official Language

The official language of the Conference is Romanian.  Foreign participants will make their presentations in English.

• Symposia organised by the Romanian Society of Immunology
• Continuous medical education training sessions organised bu the Allergology Department, „Carol Davila” University, Bucharest:
  • Allergic diseases – up-date in terminology, classifications and pharmacological treatment
  • Algorithmic approach of  atopic diseases
  • Position of  anti allergen anti IgE vaccination in modern therapeutical regimens

The abstracts

All abstracts will be submitted electronically as attached word documents at ibrumaru@unitbv.ro. The deadline for sending the abstracts is 30.05.2004.

Notification of abstract acceptance and the allocated presentation type will be send until 15.06.2004.

The accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference abstract book, distributed to every participant. Two best abstracts chosen by the Scientific Committee will be awarded by SRAIC.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to allocate the presentation type to submitted abstracts: oral or poster presentation.

At least one of the authors must be registered under the above announced terms and conditions in order to have the abstract reviewed. It is mandatory to attach to the abstract all correspondence details: mail and e-mail address and phone number.

Instructions for the author

• The language of the abstracts should be English
• Times New Roman, 11 pct., should be utilised
• The abstract should contain maximum 2500 characters including the title, authors, affiliation and attached tables
• The title should be bold and only the first letter capitalised
• No commercial names will be accepted within the title or abstract body;  only common se vor folosi doar denumirile comune internationale
• The abstract should be structured to contain background, material and methods, results and conclusions; no statements as „results will be discussed” or „data will be presented” will be accepted

Registration fees

* The registration fee can also be paid on site

The registration fee includes: access to all the Conference scientific sessions and to the commercial exhibition, final program, the abstract book, the Conference bag, batch, participation to the opening concert (only on request) ant to the opening cocktail.

The registration fee for accompanying persons includes the opening concert (only on request), the opening cocktail and a guided tour „Brasov -  medieval city”.

Payment details

Payment should be maid by bank transfer into the following  SRAIC account:

•   2511.1-556.34/USD opened at BCR (Romanian Commercial Bank) Bucharest, “Unirea” Department.

The details of the payment as „registration fee at the SRAIC Annual Conference” should be mentioned.

A copy of the payment confirmation together with the participant’s contact details (mail address, phone number, e-mail) should be faxed at 00 40 268 33 26 96. The intention to attend the concern following the opening ceremony should be mentioned (the available tickets at the concert are limited and will be distributed on the first come-first served basis).

The access to any of the Conference events is granted only to those bearing the batch.

Accommodation

Accommodation is offered by Aro Palace**** and Capitol*** hotels.

Room reservations should be made directly by the participants by sending a fax at S.C. ARO PALACE S.A. 00 40 268 475 228. The above mentioned prices include breakfast.
